The Bloodhound Gang is an American alternative rock band from Quakertown, Pennsylvania. Their songs typically have humorous and off-beat, often satirical lyrics.

The group formed in 1992. Bloodhound Gang has sold a combined total of more than 6 million albums.

Blondie is an American rock band that first gained fame in the late 1970s and has so far sold over 50 million albums. The band was a pioneer in the early American new wave and punk rock scenes.

Its first two albums contained strong elements of these genres, and although successful in the United Kingdom and Australia, Blondie was regarded as an underground band in the United States until the release of Parallel Lines in 1978. Over the next three years, the band achieved several hit singles and was noted for its eclectic mix of musical styles incorporating elements of disco, pop and reggae, while retaining a basic style as a new wave band.
Lead singer Deborah Harry achieved a level of celebrity that eclipsed other band members, leading to tension within the group. Following a poorly received album and with core member Chris Stein diagnosed with a potentially fatal disease, the group disbanded in 1982. As members pursued other projects, Blondie's reputation grew over the following decade and the group reformed in 1997, achieving renewed success and a number one single in the United Kingdom with "Maria" in 1999. The group toured and performed throughout the world over the following years, and was inducted into both the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the RockWalk of Fame in 2006.

Blonde Redhead is an American rock trio comprising Kazu Makino and twin brothers Simone and Amedeo Pace. The band takes its name from the song with the same title by DNA, a no wave band from New York.

The band performs in multiple languages including English, Japanese, Italian, and French. Amedeo and Simone Pace were born in Milan, grew up in Montreal (Saint-Léonard), but later moved to Boston to study jazz. After earning Bachelor's degrees, they entered the New York City underground music scene. The Pace brothers and Japanese art students Kazu Makino and Maki Takahashi formed the band in 1993 after a chance meeting at an Italian restaurant in New York.
Blonde Redhead caught the attention of Sonic Youth drummer Steve Shelley, who went on to produce their self-titled debut album in 1993. Shortly afterward, Takahashi left the band and was replaced by her friend Toko Yasuda as bassist. Despite this, Yasuda does not appear on any studio recordings. Yasuda soon left the group as well, explaining that "it wasn’t comfortable for me to write songs so I was kind of frustrated". The remaining members of Blonde Redhead continued as a trio. On their third album, Fake Can Be Just as Good, they were joined by Vern Rumsey of Unwound, who filled the role of guest bassist. They continued without a bass player for the release of the remainder of their albums. On their fourth album, In an Expression of the Inexpressible, Guy Picciotto of Fugazi was hired as producer. Picciotto also contributed in the construction to the song "Futurism vs. Passeism Part 2" as well as lending it his vocals. Picciotto also produced the band's records Melody of Certain Damaged Lemons and Misery Is a Butterfly. Alan Moulder (Nine Inch Nails, U2, Smashing Pumpkins) mixed their most recent record, 23, which was released on 4AD in April 2007.

Bloc Party are a British indie rock band, composed of Kele Okereke (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), Russell Lissack (lead guitar), Gordon Moakes (bass guitar, synths, backing vocals) and Matt Tong (drums, backing vocals).

Their brand of indie rock has been compared to bands such as The Cure, Gang of Four and The Strokes. The band was formed at the 1999 Reading Festival by Okereke and Lissack. They went through a variety of names before settling on Bloc Party in 2003. Moakes joined the band after answering an advert in NME magazine, while Tong was picked via an audition. Bloc Party got their break by giving BBC Radio 1 DJ Steve Lamacq and Franz Ferdinand's lead singer Alex Kapranos a copy of their demo, "She's Hearing Voices", which was later released as a single.

Blink-182 was an American rock trio formed in 1992 in Poway, California. They were one of the most prominent bands to play in the style of pop punk. The band, then known simply as Blink, was originally composed of Tom DeLonge (vocals, guitar),

Mark Hoppus (vocals, bass) and Scott Raynor (drums). In 1998, midway through a U.S. tour, drummer Travis Barker replaced Raynor. DeLonge left the group in early 2005, with the band portraying it as an "indefinite hiatus". DeLonge went on to form Angels & Airwaves, while Hoppus and Barker continued in a similar genre with their band.
DeLonge cites punk rock bands Descendents and Screeching Weasel as influences, although the band's songwriting and production were driven by a pop sensibility. Blink-182 are known for their simple melodies, teen angst and lyrical toilet humour, as well as by their hit singles "Dammit", "What's My Age Again?", "All the Small Things", "Adam's Song", "The Rock Show", "First Date", "Stay Together for the Kids", "Feeling This" and "I Miss You".

Blatz was a punk band formed in 1989 in Berkeley, California. Blatz came out of the 924 Gilman Street Project scene during the late 80s, and early 90s along with bands like Operation Ivy, Filth, and Green Day.

Blatz is well known as an integral representation of early 1990s East Bay punk. Touring only throughout southern California, Arizona and Nevada, they played mainly at 924 Gilman St., and practiced there as well. The band was known for their 'in your face' lyrics filled with sarcasm, irony, humor, and references to masturbation and drugs.

Blackbud are an indie-rock band from Wiltshire, now based between London and Bristol, UK. They are Joe Taylor (Guitar, Vocals), Adam Newton (Bass, Backing Vocals) and Sam Nazzel (Drums, Backing Vocals).

Although their released material so far has been minimal, they have toured extensively worldwide to much critical acclaim, having attracted the attention of Jimmy Page, Michael Eavis and Steve Lamacq amongst other noteworthy people. Blackbud have often been compared, perhaps or perhaps not entirely seriously, with artists such as Jeff Buckley, Radiohead and Led Zeppelin. Their debut album, From The Sky, was released on July 31, 2006.

Black Strobe (sometimes Blackstrobe) were formed in Paris in 1997 by producer Arnaud Rebotini and DJ Ivan Smagghe, and were instrumental in the rise of the electroclash movement in the UK with their breakthrough single Me And Madonna.

Originally producing in the house genre, they later became more influenced by music from the 1970s and 1980s, especially industrial post punk and camp, European electronic body music (or EBM). However, they describe their dark electrosound as "frozen balearic gay biker house".They are heavily influenced by such bands as Cabaret Voltaire, Nitzer Ebb, Front 242 and Depeche Mode. They are much sought after as remixers, and worked with such diverse artists as Röyksopp, Nitzer Ebb, Rammstein, The Rapture, and Tiefschwarz.
Ivan Smagghe left in 2006 as Black Strobe expanded to a four-piece live band, with members David "Siskid" Shaw (guitar), Bastien Burger (bass and keyboard) and Benjamin Beaulieu (drums) joining Rebotini on vocals and with Smagghe contributing lyrics. They released their debut album Burn Your Own Church in 2007.

Black Rebel Motorcycle Club (BRMC for short) is an American rock band from San Francisco, California, now based in Los Angeles.

BRMC is known for its brand of garage rock, blues, folk revival, neo-psychedelia, and often religiously inspired lyrics, and its influences are groups and musicians such as The Brian Jonestown Massacre, The Rolling Stones, John Lennon, The Velvet Underground and The Jesus and Mary Chain.

Black Mountain is a Canadian psychedelic rock-band composed of Stephen McBean, Amber Webber, Matt Camirand, Jeremy Schmidt and Joshua Wells.

Leader Stephen McBean also heads another similarly named band, Pink Mountaintops, who are the more experimental side of McBean's musical abilities. Black Mountain is the front line band for Black Mountain Army, a collective of musicians, artists and friends in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. According to an interview, the band said the "Black Mountain is just the five of us. The Black Mountain Army… which has kind of gotten blown out of proportion, it was kind of just a joke, because everybody thought we were this hippie collective, like we all lived in one house. But it’s basically just our friends at home in Vancouver, just our extended family of creative people that we know."

The Black Heart Procession (occasionally spelled The Blackheart Procession) is an indie rock band from San Diego, California.

The band was formed in 1997 by Pall Jenkins (member of Mr. Tube and the Flying Objects and the short-lived Ugly Casanova) and Tobias Nathaniel (both members of the band Three Mile Pilot). The group is often augmented by the contributions of Mario Rubalcaba, Jason Crane, Joe Plummer, Dimitri Dziensuwski and Jimmy LaValle.
The band are set to return in late 2008 with appearances at the UK All Tomorrow's Parties festival, where they were invited to perform by curators the Melvins, and with European dates including London.

The Black Eyed Peas are an American hip hop group from Los Angeles. As of 2009, the group is composed of will.i.am, apl.de.ap, Taboo and Fergie. Since its breakout album Elephunk in 2003, the group's pop/dance-oriented style of hip hop music has sold an estimated twenty-seven million albums and singles worldwide.

Will.i.am (born 1975 William James Adams Jr.) and Apl.de.ap (born 1974 Allan Pineda) began rapping and performing together around Los Angeles. The pair signed to Ruthless Records (run by Eazy-E) after catching the attention of the nephew of Jerry Heller (Eazy-E's manager). Along with Mookie Mook, & DJ Motiv8, they called their group Atban Klann. Their debut album, Grass Roots, was never released because Ruthless did not consider the social themes reflected in the group's music to be marketable to their audience.
After Eazy-E died of AIDS in 1995, the group changed their name to Black Eyed Peas; Will.i.am explained on the front cover of the Monkey Business album that "The Black Eyed Peas are food for the soul", hence the name. Will.i.am has cited the Red Hot Chili Peppers as an influence, and said he named his band after food, like them. Taboo (born Jaime Gomez) joined the group. In 1996, they produced and appeared on a song entitled "That's Right" for Brian Austin Green's hip-hop album One Stop Carnival. Later, they began using Kim Hill as a steady background singer. Kim worked on a solo project with Interscope Records. In 2000 Kim Hill left the band. It is often thought that she was replaced by Fergie (Stacy Ferguson), who joined the group in 2003. However, Fergie was just to be featured in one song, but later Will decided to offer her a position of being in the band. Unlike many hip-hop acts, they chose to perform with a live band and adopted a musical and clothing style that differed wildly from the other Los Angeles-based hip-hop acts at the time. Through the mid-90s, the group performed in the local club circuit alongside artists such as Ozomatli and Jurassic 5.
