Falco
Johann (Hans) Hölzel (19 February 1957 – 6 February 1998), better known by his stage name Falco, was an Austrian rap, pop and rock musician and had four #1 Hits - "Der Kommissar," "Rock Me Amadeus," "Jeanny," and "Coming Home (Jeanny Part 2)." He is the first and so far only artist to score a #1 Hit in the U.S. with a German language song. His albums and singles have sold about 60 million copies worldwide.
Born in Vienna, studying at the Vienna Music Conservatory in 1977 which he left after one semester to become a real musician, he lived for a short time in West Berlin, singing in a jazz-rock band. When he returned to Vienna he was calling himself "Falco," reportedly in tribute to the East German skier Falko Weißpflog, and playing in the Austrian bands Spinning Wheel and Hallucination Company. En route to becoming an international rock star in his own right, he was bass player in the Austrian hard rock-punk rock band Drahdiwaberl (from 1978 until 1983). With Drahdiwaberl he wrote and performed the song "Ganz Wien," which he would also include on his debut solo album, Einzelhaft.
Faf Larage
Born Raphaël Mussard in Marseilles, France in 1971, Faf Larage was a commercially successful French rapper, who reached French Billboard's highest ranking thanks to his interpretation of TV show Prison Break's opening titles. Brother of Marseilles rap legendary posse AIM's Shurik'n, with whom he collaborated a couple of times (including on a 1997 hit single "La Garde Meurt Mais Ne Se Rend Pas," and a full album), he became a Marseilles-styled French rap figure in his own right with the release of a couple of albums, from 1999's C'est Ma Cause to 2007's Rap Stories.
Delinquent Habits
Delinquent Habits (a.k.a. Los Delinquentes) is a Chicano hip hop group. Formed in Los Angeles in 1991, they are known for their Latin-tinged rap, which is both melodic.
Their first album was executive produced by Cypress Hill member Sen Dog and featured guest appearances by Sen himself as well as Puerto Rican New York City rapper Hurricane G. Their second album, Here Come The Horns, again featured Sen Dog as well as Sen's brother, pioneering Latin rapper Mellow Man Ace. The melodic "Merry Go Round" featured the female singer Michelle. The group chose to focus more on rap on their fourth offering, "Freedom Band".
The group itself originally consisted of two MCs, Ives and Kemo, and O.G. Style as the DJ. Thus the group was often called "Los Tres Delinquentes" (In English: "The Three Delinquents"). In 1996, the group garnered international success with their first single "Tres Delinquentes" selling over one million copies. The success of the song pushed the group's self-titled album to nearly the same figure. Kemo soon left after the completion of their album Freedom Band to pursue a solo career with some substantial success. He was replaced by female vocalist Michelle, who had been previously featured in their songs. August 2008 former mc Kemo signed a record deal with Ampire Records/ Redrum Recordz for a European release of his second album..
